Art Studio Painting

  • For children and young brush lovers who already have some established knowledge of the subject, we offer the traditional drawing and painting class with an intermediate level of difficulty. We will practice and improve our technique and skills by drawing and painting from nature, observation and from images.

 

Painting begins with drawing
We start with composition and planning. Studying light, then moving to color. Drawing and painting from observation is a big part of this class.

Learning how Materials work
This class covers various types of painting mediums and traditional techniques. We will begin with a color mixing refresh, experiment with different mediums and learn how to use color in fun and dynamic ways.

What class is best for my child?

Here are some common questions about the class placement.

At Eye Espai Creatiu, we divide our classes by age to provide activities appropriate to each stage of artistic development. These are what work best in general. There are always exceptions, so let us know if you have any concerns. 

  • Art & Creativity (Ages 5+) – No experience necessary. Recommended for children in the final year of preschool (P5) and up. This class includes drawing, painting, crafts, and sculpture.

  • Drawing & Cartoons (Ages 6/7+) – Perfect for young artists who love to draw! This class focuses on drawing through cartoons, comics, and children's book illustration.

  • Art & Creativity (Ages 8+) – No experience necessary. Recommended for children in 2nd Grade and up. This class includes drawing, painting, crafts, and sculpture.

  • Introduction to Drawing & Painting (Ages 8+) – No experience necessary. Recommended for children in 2nd Grade and up. This class focuses exclusively on drawing and painting techniques and does not include crafts or sculpture.

  • Illustration or Drawing & Painting (Ages 11+) – Recommended for students aged 11 and older, or from 5th Grade onwards, with a basic foundation in drawing and painting.
